In January 2023, I found myself in the middle of an identity crisis after having my son. I felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and stretched thin. Motherhood had me up all night, my hormones were all over the place, and I barely had time to blog. Yet, blogging isn’t free—running a platform like mine costs over $700 a month in fees, memberships, and services. When you don’t feel like blogging but are still paying for it, the pressure builds. I gave up sponsored posts years ago because I hated how icky they made me feel. I rely just on ads now, which is so much better. During that time, I felt the pull to step back, to see what else was out there, and to try something new. I had always dreamed of starting a bakery business, so I decided to dive in headfirst.
